Everyday
Primary Care
Everyday medical care for adults and children, from routine check-ups to long-term conditions.

What primary care covers here
Primary care is the front door to everything else at Avenora. It is where new symptoms get looked at properly, where long-term conditions like blood pressure, asthma and diabetes are reviewed, and where referrals to specialists begin. Because your notes stay with the practice, the clinician in front of you can see what happened last time rather than starting from scratch.
We schedule thirty minutes for a first appointment because most consultations go wrong in the first five. You get time to describe what is actually happening, and we get time to examine, ask follow-up questions and explain what we think is going on.
What to bring
A list of any medication you take, including anything bought over the counter, and a rough timeline of when the symptoms started. If you have had tests elsewhere in the past year, bring the results or tell us where they were done and we will request them.
After the appointment
You leave with a written summary of what we found and what happens next. If tests were ordered, we tell you when results are due and who will call you about them — not the other way round.
